Annual Chili Cook-Off
The 7th Annual Star Chamber Chili Cook-Off was a spicy, awesome, good time.

Come put your tastebuds to the test
Indulge in an impressive selection of chili samples at the Star Riverhouse by the Boise River in Star, Idaho, on October 3, 2026. Get your fill of chili by tasting over 20 unique recipes, all cooked from scratch and on-site. Moreover, this year marks the 8th Annual Star Chamber of Commerce Chili Cook-Off. In anticipation of a large turnout, we are planning for over 1,000 chili tasters. Starting at high noon, tastebuds will go into overdrive as participants sample all the different chili recipes. In addition to the chili tastings, the event will also include a pie-eating contest, music, raffle drawings, and an award ceremony.

Compete for fun and try to win the most votes by the public by entering the People’s Choice category or take it up a notch and have official judges score your entries by also entering the Homestyle and/or Traditional Red category. Besides bragging rights, cash prizes and trophies are awarded to the top three teams in each category. 2026 marks the eighth year the Star Chamber of Commerce has brought this exciting chili cook-off to the community. We joined forces in 2024 with the International Chili Society making the event an officially sanctioned chili cook-off.

Do you love pie and getting a little messy? Then, the pie-eating contest is for you! It’s free to enter the contest and winners from each group who eat the most of their pie without their hands will win an official 2026 Chili Cook-off Pie-Eating Contest Winner medal. Entries are limited in each age group so register today to reserve your spot!
Or help out and volunteer
Lend a hand and volunteer. We need help to make everything run smoothly and give everyone time to enjoy the event. Volunteer for two hours and receive a free tasting ticket as a thank you for helping.
